There are seasons when faith is not forged in comfort, but in the fire—when the heat of trial rises, and we are tested not just in body, but in spirit. “The Furnace [The Test]” was born from such contemplation. Like the faithful three in Daniel 3, this poem is a declaration: I will not bow to fear, to compromise, or to despair. I will dance in the flames with my Savior, trusting that He is with me in the fire and refining me for His glory. The test may come, but so does His presence—and His presence changes everything.

The Furnace [The Test]
The heat is fierce and the flames are strong,
but I am dancing in the fire with the one and only Son.
My hands were firmly tied, but now I am raising them on high—
because I am dancing in the fire with the one and only Son.
I praise my God, because I trust in Him.
Though the furnace feels hot and hope feels dim.
I praise my God, because I am engraved in the palm of His hands.
Though life seems hard and has its demands.
Glory! Glory to God in the highest!
I bow the knee to only one God, because He’s the finest.
Glory! Glory to God in the highest!
I sing, because He’s the King of my heart, and He’s the wisest.
The heat is fierce and the flames are strong,
but I am dancing with my Beloved—right where I belong.
I will praise Him in this furnace as I walk in firmness,
with the one and only Son—standing in His purposes.
I will praise Him in the fire, until my life He requires.
I will patiently wait until He calls my name.
He will lead and I will follow,
because I am dancing with Christ Jesus;
the one my heart proclaims!
Prayer to Declare and Decree
Abba [Heavenly Father], I submit to you every little thing in my life. I stand convinced; “If you don’t provide it, I don’t need it.” and “If you are against it, it is poison.” I declare you have supreme power and authority over my life. Over ALL created things! In my family, friends, my intellect, body, and soul. I declare that you- Jesus, knows best. May your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
I declare this in the mighty name of Christ Jesus [Yeshua HaMashiach]
Those who sow with tears
Psalm 126:5-6
will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with them.

Blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) are those who wash their robes [in the blood of Christ by believing and trusting in Him—the righteous who do His commandments], so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs [the godless, the impure, those of low moral character] and the sorcerers [with their intoxicating drugs, and magic arts], and the immoral persons [the perverted, the molesters, and the adulterers], and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying (deception, cheating). –Revelation 22: 14-15

The [Holy] Spirit and the bride (the church, believers) say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take and drink the water of life without cost.

A Word of Encouragement for You!
Beloved child of God,
If you find yourself in the heat of trial today, know this: you are never alone. The One who walks with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fire is right beside you at this moment. He sees every spark that threatens to destroy you—and He is your Fortress, and Strength.Stand on His promises, rest in His presence, and lift your eyes to the One who calls you beloved. Your pain is never wasted; Though it may not feel like it—He is refining you for something better. Keep dancing in the flames of faith, for the fire only reveals the beauty of His power within you.
You are held. You are loved. And you will come out of this trial not damaged, but refined—shining in His glory!
